Pitfalls and things to know

Craft cocktail bars vs KTV / lounges. They’re different categories. The bars above are the cocktail-and-conversation kind. KTV and hostess lounges in JB operate on a different model and aren’t what this guide covers.
Cash, card and e-wallet. Major venues take cards; some smaller speakeasies prefer cash or TNG eWallet. Mix it up.
Causeway timing on the way back. After 1am, the QR-lane gates and counter staffing thin out. Aim for a return between 11pm and 1am if you can.
Don’t promise yourself “just one drink”. If you drove yourself in, you’ve already lost. Plan the chauffeur on the way out, not at 12:30am from a bar bathroom.
