Jumppy vs Strides Premier: cross-border taxi compared

Strides Premier is the LTA-licensed taxi name. We are the cross-border-first chauffeur. Same Causeway, different shapes of trip — here is how to choose.

Strides Premier shows up high on Google for “cross border taxi” — and for good reason. They are an LTA-licensed Singapore taxi operator with a real cross-border product page. We sit in a slightly different lane: cross-border-first private chauffeur, six fleet tiers, no flag-down. This page is the honest read on which one suits your trip.

TL;DR — Jumppy vs Strides Premier in 4 lines

When Strides wins: you need an LTA-licensed taxi for procurement compliance, you want app-based booking with profile and invoice history, or you use the same provider for SG-internal taxis too.

When we win: the trip is cross-border-first, you want choice across six vehicle tiers, or you need wedding / multi-day / B2B packages built around SG↔MY.

Typical price gap: hard to compare apples-to-apples — Strides cross-border pricing varies by route. Ours is a flat per-route fare with tolls included.

Honest verdict: different shapes of operator. Pick on whether you want LTA-licensed-taxi confidence or a cross-border-first chauffeur with multiple tiers.

Who is Strides Premier?

Strides Premier Taxis (formerly Premier Taxis) is part of the SMRT-owned Strides Mobility group, an LTA-licensed Singapore taxi operator. They publicly run a Cross Border Taxi Service product alongside their main SG taxi network. The cross-border product page (stridespremier.com) ranks well for “cross border taxi” search intent, which is how many SG residents discover the option. Strides is one offering in a broader Strides Mobility portfolio that also covers SG flag-down, app booking and corporate mobility.

Their core strength is brand confidence: LTA-licensed, long-running, app-based, and integrated with the wider Singapore taxi ecosystem. Some procurement frameworks specifically prefer LTA-licensed providers, which makes Strides a default choice for certain corporate and government bookings.

FAQ

Is Jumppy a competitor of Strides Premier?

For the cross-border product, yes — we serve overlapping customers. For SG-internal taxi, no — Strides runs a full LTA-licensed taxi network and we do not. Many travellers use Strides for SG taxis and price us for the cross-border leg specifically.

Should I just book Strides directly?

If LTA licensing or the Strides app workflow is important to you, yes. We would suggest pricing both if you want choice across six fleet tiers, all-in toll-included pricing, or a multi-day cross-border package quoted as one job.

Are you LTA-licensed?

We are a lead-gen and booking platform that dispatches confirmed jobs to a vetted private chauffeur partner. We are not an LTA-licensed taxi service. If your booking specifically requires an LTA-licensed taxi, Strides is the cleaner option.

Do you have a booking app?

Not currently. We run on WhatsApp plus a lead form on the site. If you prefer app-based booking with profile and history, that is a legitimate reason to consider Strides instead.

Can a corporate account book Jumppy on invoice terms?

Yes. We offer corporate billing with 3–7 day terms (the partner refers to it as ACC under-account billing). See corporate account for the onboarding flow.

How do flat-fare pricing and metered pricing actually differ?

Flat fare locks the price upfront based on the route and vehicle tier — useful when you want predictability and tolls bundled in. Metered pricing scales with distance and waiting time, which can be cheaper on short trips and more expensive on long ones with delays. For SG↔JB cross-border, flat fares usually feel cleaner because Causeway waits are unpredictable.

Can you do KL or KLIA airport, not just JB?

Yes. SG↔KL, SG↔KLIA and SG↔Penang are routine bookings. WhatsApp us the route, date and pax and we will quote the right tier with all tolls included.
