Yes — that’s the design brief. The boot is deeper than an Alphard’s, and the sliding-door cabin opening makes loading easier. We’d still recommend mentioning oversized items (golf clubs, snowboards, prams with twins) on booking so the driver can pre-arrange the load.
How does the Staria compare to a Toyota Hiace 13-seater?
The Hiace seats nearly twice as many but is a commercial van — louder, firmer ride, and the seats are bench-style rather than individual. For 7 pax with luggage the Staria is more comfortable; for 8+, step up to the Hiace or coach.
