Larkin Sentral is the bus-and-taxi hub for Johor — a multi-floor terminal complex with around 60 bus operators, a fresh market, and roughly 700 shops and food stalls on the lower levels. It is primarily a transit point rather than a destination, but the hawker stalls and ground-floor food court are popular with locals if you have time to kill before your coach.

How to get to Larkin Sentral from Singapore

Larkin sits north of the JB city centre, so the Causeway is the natural crossing. Here’s how the modes stack up if you’re heading there to catch an onward coach.

By private chauffeur (door-to-door)

The cleanest option when you have luggage and a coach to catch. Pickup from any Singapore address, cross via Sultan Iskandar Building, and your driver drops you at the correct Larkin platform side rather than the public bus drop. By cross-border bus

Causeway Link CW2 and CW4 run between Singapore and Larkin, and SBS Service 170 also terminates near JB Sentral with onward connections to Larkin. Not direct. The KTM Shuttle Tebrau lands at JB Sentral (next to City Square), so you’d still need a Grab or local taxi to cover the ~5 km north to Larkin.

Drive yourself

Possible, but you’ll need a VEP tag for any Singapore-registered car entering Malaysia, and Larkin’s parking is awkward when you’re trying to make a coach departure.

You’re carrying luggage for a multi-day trip onward. Tioman, Desaru and KL trips usually mean a proper suitcase — not fun on Causeway Link with a transfer.

How long does it take to drive from Singapore to Larkin Sentral?

About 10–15 minutes from Sultan Iskandar Building once you’ve cleared the Causeway, plus your CIQ time on both sides. Larkin is one of the closest JB destinations from the Causeway.

Causeway or Tuas Second Link for Larkin?

Causeway, every time. Larkin is north of the JB city centre and the Causeway puts you on the natural approach. Tuas Second Link adds 15–20 minutes of detour and isn’t worth it unless your pickup is in the far west of Singapore and Causeway peak traffic is brutal.

Can the driver wait while I sort my onward bus ticket?

For ticket pickup or a quick meal, yes — our standard wait is 30 minutes free. If you need a longer hold (say, an hour while you pick up a delayed group member), WhatsApp us before booking so we can quote a disposal rate.

Can you drop me at a specific Larkin platform?

We aim to drop as close to your coach operator’s platform as the Larkin traffic-flow rules allow on the day. Send us your bus operator name (e.g. Transnasional, Causeway Link, KKKL) when you book and the driver will get you to the right side of the terminal.
