Approximately SGD $180–400/night. Has its own mini ferry pier so guests bypass Tekek jetty congestion entirely. Tier 2 — mid-range chalets and boutique

Salang Indah Resort (Salang village, north)

Around 60 chalets, central to Salang’s dive and snorkel scene. Approximately SGD $80–180/night. Walk-out access to dive shops, the night-dive boat ramp and the village beach reef. The default mid-range pick for divers.

Tioman Cabana Resort (Tekek)

Modern beach-cabana style, mid-tier. Approximately SGD $120–250/night. Useful for travellers who want the Tekek amenities (ATM, pharmacy, restaurants, easy ferry access) without backpacker-level basics.

Paya Beach Spa & Dive Resort (Paya village, west coast)

How to plan a Tioman hotel trip from Singapore

The shape that works is 3D2N (Fri–Sun) for snorkel + light activity, or 4D3N (Fri–Mon) for dive cert trips and slow-down honeymoons. Day-trips are not viable — 5 hours door-to-door rules them out. Drive leg: SG → Mersing in ~3 hours via Tuas Second Link → Senai-Desaru Expressway E22 → Kota Tinggi → Mersing; ferry 1.5–2.5 hours on BlueWater or Cataferry. Match village to property to trip. Salang’s nightlife jars with Mukut’s silence — don’t book both legs of a single trip in opposing villages.
