Cameron’s six to seven hour drive each way is the honest catch. The NSE stretch is straight-highway; the final 1.5 hour ascent from Tapah or Simpang Pulai is winding mountain road with hairpins — the part that hits motion-sickness-prone kids hardest. Pack pills 30 minutes before the climb, ginger sweets within reach, an empty bag for the worst case, and tablets with downloaded movies for the 12-hour total driving day.
