Who is WTS Travel?
WTS Travel & Tours Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based travel agency and coach operator that has been running since 1989. They’re one of the larger names in the Singapore-Malaysia coach scene, and most travellers will recognise the brand from the scheduled cross-border bus services into Malaysia.
Two product lines matter for this comparison:
- Scheduled cross-border coach services. WTS runs regular express bus services from Singapore to Genting Highlands, Malacca and Kuala Lumpur, plus the return legs. These are sold as per-seat tickets on a shared coach with fixed departure times. Singapore pickup is from designated pickup points across the island rather than from your home address.
- Private coach charter. WTS also offers full-coach charter for groups — airport transfers, private day-tours, corporate and school excursions, and cross-border private trips. This is the side of their business that overlaps with what we do.
They also bundle coach + hotel + attraction tickets into packaged tour products (the Genting and Malacca packages are the most visible), and operate retail outlets across Singapore including Jurong Point and Suntec City. When WTS Travel is the right call
WTS owns the scheduled cross-border coach category, and on a fair read of the market they’re often the better answer. We’d genuinely send you to them in these scenarios:
- You want a cheap Genting day-trip for 1–4 people. A per-seat scheduled ticket is the right product shape here — chartering a whole coach for a solo or small-group trip doesn’t make economic sense. WTS’s scheduled service from Singapore to Genting Highlands is well-trodden, with daily departures.
- You don’t mind a fixed pickup point and departure time. If a Jurong Point, Tampines or Singapore Flyer pickup works for you and you’re flexible on timing, the scheduled product is meaningfully cheaper per head than chartering.
- You want a packaged coach + hotel + attraction bundle to Genting or Malacca. WTS sells these as a single product with one checkout — coach there, hotel nights, ticket vouchers, coach back. We don’t bundle hotels.
- Solo or duo cross-border on a weekend. Scheduled coach is cheaper per seat than chartering a Hiace for two — the per-seat economics are hard to beat.
- You like booking through a retail outlet. WTS has physical counters at malls including Jurong Point and Suntec City, which is useful if you’d rather book in person than over WhatsApp.

- Bespoke timing. Late departure, early return, midnight pickup — we handle the +S$30 midnight surcharge upfront (2300–0700 pickups), no surprises at the end. Scheduled coaches don’t move for you.
- Multi-stop or multi-venue itineraries. Wedding-shuttle loops, conference shuttles, multi-hotel airport drops, JB outlet-mall day-trips with three stops. Scheduled coaches don’t do this; we quote +S$20 per extra stop.

Yes, if your trip is a scheduled cross-border coach to Genting, Malacca or KL for 1–4 people, or a packaged coach + hotel bundle. No, if you have a group needing a private whole-coach charter on your own schedule with door-to-door pickup — that’s our product, not theirs.
Is Jumppy cheaper than WTS?
For per-seat scheduled coach tickets, usually no — sharing a coach with 30 other passengers is the cheapest way to cross the Causeway. For private group charter, it depends on group size: chartering becomes cheaper per head once your group crosses roughly 12–15 people, and the door-to-door pickup plus schedule flexibility is worth real money on top of that.
Can Jumppy run a Genting day-trip like WTS?
Yes, as a private charter — a whole coach (or Hiace, depending on group size) for your group, on your timing, from your address. What we don’t sell is a per-seat ticket on a shared scheduled coach — that’s WTS’s product, not ours.
Do you compete on price with WTS scheduled coaches?
No — they’re a different product. A per-seat ticket on a shared scheduled coach has economics we can’t match with a private whole-vehicle charter, and we don’t try to. Where we compete with WTS is on the charter side, where the product shapes are comparable.
Is WTS a competitor of Jumppy?
