Toyota Alphard
Cross-border luxury for families and executives — the gold standard for SG↔KL. 6 pax with 2 checked + 2 cabin bags.
See Toyota Alphard details →Scheduled coach tickets to Genting, Malacca and KL versus private whole-coach charter — a fair look at when WTS is the right call, and when a private charter shape fits better.
If you’ve ever Googled “bus to Genting from Singapore” or browsed a cross-border coach package, you’ve probably seen WTS Travel near the top of the page. They’re one of the most established coach and tour operators in Singapore, and on certain trips they’re genuinely the right choice over us.
We get asked often: should you book WTS directly, or come to Jumppy for a cross-border ride? The honest answer turns on what kind of product you actually need — a per-seat ticket on a scheduled coach, or a private whole-vehicle charter for your group. They’re not the same thing, and this page lays out which one fits which trip.
WTS Travel & Tours Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based travel agency and coach operator that has been running since 1989. They’re one of the larger names in the Singapore-Malaysia coach scene, and most travellers will recognise the brand from the scheduled cross-border bus services into Malaysia.
Two product lines matter for this comparison:
They also bundle coach + hotel + attraction tickets into packaged tour products (the Genting and Malacca packages are the most visible), and operate retail outlets across Singapore including Jurong Point and Suntec City. For the most current routes, ticket prices and departure times, check the WTS site directly — those change often enough that we don’t quote them here.

WTS owns the scheduled cross-border coach category, and on a fair read of the market they’re often the better answer. We’d genuinely send you to them in these scenarios:
Our lane is narrower and we run it tighter. We’re a private cross-border chauffeur and coach charter operator — door-to-door, whole-vehicle, on your schedule. Where we tend to be the stronger choice:
Our SG↔JB anchors give a sense of the private charter floor:
Round-trip is one-way × 2. Midnight pickup (2300–0700) adds +S$30 flat. Multi-stop adds +S$20 per extra stop. Full matrix on our pricing page.
For WTS scheduled ticket prices, check their site directly — those numbers shift with route, date and seasonal demand, and we’d rather not misquote them.
Yes, if your trip is a scheduled cross-border coach to Genting, Malacca or KL for 1–4 people, or a packaged coach + hotel bundle. No, if you have a group needing a private whole-coach charter on your own schedule with door-to-door pickup — that’s our product, not theirs.
For per-seat scheduled coach tickets, usually no — sharing a coach with 30 other passengers is the cheapest way to cross the Causeway. For private group charter, it depends on group size: chartering becomes cheaper per head once your group crosses roughly 12–15 people, and the door-to-door pickup plus schedule flexibility is worth real money on top of that.
Yes, as a private charter — a whole coach (or Hiace, depending on group size) for your group, on your timing, from your address. What we don’t sell is a per-seat ticket on a shared scheduled coach — that’s WTS’s product, not ours.
No — they’re a different product. A per-seat ticket on a shared scheduled coach has economics we can’t match with a private whole-vehicle charter, and we don’t try to. Where we compete with WTS is on the charter side, where the product shapes are comparable.
On the charter side, partly. On the scheduled-coach side, not really — we don’t sell scheduled tickets and they’re the established name in that lane. Treat us as siblings rather than substitutes: the right one depends on whether you want a private vehicle or a shared seat.
Both handle Causeway and Second Link clearance. The difference is in waiting: on a scheduled WTS coach you wait for the whole bus to clear the checkpoint together, which can mean queueing as a group. On a Jumppy private charter, it’s just your group through immigration. Clearance times vary 15 minutes to 2 hours either way depending on the day.
We pick up from anywhere in Singapore — that’s the door-to-door point. We’ll come to your home or office address, not a fixed mall pickup point.
